The official opening of The Outlet store in Tuam, takes place at the Shop Street premises tomorow Friday November 16 with special events running in-store from 5.00 to 9.00pm and you are invited. Champagne celebrations, American designer fashions and lots of give-aways will attract shoppers from around Tuam and County Galway to mark the official opening event so do not miss it. Calling all teenagers - Teen Bootcamp is back by popular demand! Catwalk’s very successful course coaching teenagers on the importance of grooming, etiquette, and styling will take place in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone on Thursday and Friday November 1 and 2. Teen Boot Camp, in association with Catwalk, is open to all teenagers and focuses on assertiveness, self-esteem, and giving girls confidence in themselves.

Former Miss World Rosanna Davison will be one of the judges at the Best Dressed Lady Competition at the Galway Races on Thursday 2nd August.

The Dream Weddings Exhibition returns on Saturday January 7 and Sunday January 8 2012 from 12 noon -6pm daily in Leisureland, Salthill, Galway.

One of the most popular elements of the festival is the crowning of the Oyster Pearl. Running since 1956, the competition seeks “talented and personable” young women who act as the face of the festival for its duration and the year ahead. Each Pearl is nominated by a local business, and the 2011 installment which took place at the Hotel Meyrick on Monday evening attracted 11 participants.
